  • hmm writes... you know... this may sound weird... but honestly I think you should try it. Try to help your friends or family or just others in general with stuff that they need. I find that helping others takes the focus off me and I am satisfied and calmed by helping others. Again, it may seem simple, but I think it could help.

  • trying writes... it may sound extreme to you, but I think anyone and everyone can benefit from therapy. the trick is finding a therapist you like and trust and connect with, and then you'll have somewhere to bring your strong feelings, have them validated, find out what the underlying issues are, and learn how to address them so that you can be more relaxed, confident, and yourself. Therapy's not just for crazy people.

  • Same Feelings xx writes... I feel so much the same!!!!!!!!!!!! try to stay calm and maybe get counciling, i had it and i am only 13 and it has completely changed my life. Also try talking to the closest person to you. or even just writting it down on imupset.com. i use this site very often and it helps just to let someone know how you are feeling and to talk to people in exactly the same situation. i hope my advice works, and remember you are not alone. xx

I'm sure you'll find at least one or two things that will help you. I'm exactly like you and I found that the lavender thing along with yoga and a good diet with exercise works. Another thing that can help is if you talk to someone about it. Make someone your unofficial shrink, tell them everything on how you feel. When you talk to someone about your stress or just your day in general you know that you aren't going in alone. Someone will always be there for you and knows. Plus 16 can be a tough age. I remember. I'm only a few years older but I remember. And always remember when someone or something is about to upset you tremendously to ask yourself, "Am I going to give this thing or person power over me as to upset me?" The only way someone or something can upset you is if you give it power over you. One day at a time. Don't overwhelm yourself. It will get better. Promise.
